Team Description: | The ABP Team is A B Precision’s entry into the ELROB2006. The team is composed of multi-disciplined engineers who work for A B Precision, under the leadership of Cindy Barfoot (Project Manager). The ABP Team is supported exclusively by A B Precision Ltd. Our vehicle, Guardian consists of an enclosed chassis which houses all operational hardware & electronics. Operation is via either a radio or a fibre optic link to the onboard computer. Drive motors (24v) are used to propel the vehicle on either a tracked or wheeled configuration while cameras located fore & aft of the vehicle send data back to the operator at the base station. An extendable arm housing further cameras is located on the top of the chassis to further the vehicles viewing capability.
